WHY DIGITAL PRIME?

The track entitled Digital Prime is about technology such as social media's replacement of emotions in human interaction and how a person’s online presence can be targeted as a separate being.
Often people and emotions are misconstrued or often disregarded by the cold nature of digital interaction despite the internet’s obvious benefits.

I began writing Digital Prime shortly after my band Cambion took Hiatus and while i did have my band in mind during the writing of this track, it became more personal to me.
My own anxieties and depressions have often suffered as a result of digital interaction and since completing the song it became more relevant and meaningful to me over time.

I wrote, recorded and mixed/mastered the track in my home studio some time ago and have considered releasing it many times.
I decided to release the track entirely for free and instead ask for donations to Cayla’s fight.
Cayla is the daughter of a family friend and has been suffering with neuroblastoma. They are relying on donations to acquire treatment in the US and it would mean the world if the track that’s so personal to me could help raise any amount for such an important cause.
